Admissions

Admission to St. Stephen’s School is based on the following criteria:

• Students presently enrolled in the Church of St. Stephen School will have top priority for registration each year.
  
• Siblings of these students will get the next priority, only if there are openings available at that grade level.
• Children of faculty members are given the next openings.
• Alumni parishioners are given the next priority.
• The next level of priority will be for new students whose parents are registered parishioners at the Church of St. Stephen or St. Katherine Drexel.
• If space is available, student applications of non-parishioners will be accepted in the order received during this stage.

A registration fee is required per student upon receipt of the enrollment application.

If a class level is full, a waiting list will be formed, based on the priority stated above. This waiting list is not carried over from year to year.

Enrollment and admission are not final until student files have been received and evaluated by the Principal to ensure we have the services to meet the needs of the student.

Children entering the Church of St. Stephen School kindergarten for the first time must be at least five (5) years of age on, or prior to, September 1 of the year they wish to enroll.

All prospective families will be interviewed by the principal before admission.
