Stewardship

The Church of St. Stephen's philosophy on stewardship is that stewardship is a way of life. It is a way of thanking God for all His blessings by returning a portion of the time, talent and treasure that has been allotted to us. Stewardship successfully bridges the material world around us and the world of the Spirit within us.

Our primary process of stewardship is through the Sunday Collection. We strive for only one Sunday Collection to meet the needs of St. Stephen's Parish.  This means the primary way in which we support all of the ministries of the Parish is through our Sunday Collection.  We invite you to make tithing a long-term goal in your family's financial sharing.  This means sharing back ten percent for all that God has given you.  Believing that God calls us to be stewards of all creation, we ask that you share half of your tithing with the Church and half with other charities that serve those in need.

Being a large parish with a large budget, we have learned that the only way we can plan to provide for our ministries is by asking you to make a pledge each year.  The Pledge Card helps us to plan our budget and can help you plan yours.  By committing to share a specific amount each week, you help us to manage the parish in a consistent and orderly fashion.

On-Line Giving

If you contribute to the church by check but are currently making other donations, payments or purchases online, we encourage you to look into online giving at St. Stephen's Church.  We’ve recently updated our online giving page with new donor-friendly features that we think you’ll find beneficial.

You can make one-time donations, set up automatic donation plans and view your own donation histories without any assistance from the church office.  You can link to the donation page by > clicking here. If you wish to make changes to your on-line giving, please contact Monica Freeman in the parish office at mfreeman@ststephenchurch.org; 763-712-7438.

The next time you contemplate your contributions to St. Stephen's Church, please consider online giving.

Give to the Most High as he has given to you, generously, according to your means.  For the Lord is one who always repays, and will give back to you sevenfold.
