School Schedule/Busing

Bus transportation is available for St. Stephen’s students to and from school each day provided they live within the St. Stephen’s attendance area. Some of the areas located within our busing area are: Anoka, Champlin, Dayton, Ramsey, parts of Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids and Andover. A map of the exact busing zone is kept in the school office for anyone to view or on the Anoka Hennepin School District website.

Students living inside the school district boundaries but outside of the St. Stephen’s busing area may be allowed to go to the nearest bus stop inside St Stephen’s attendance area and no fee would be associated with this service.

St. Stephen’s families living outside of the Anoka Hennepin School District may be offered transportation on District buses based on available space and would have a transportation fee associated with the service. The student would present themselves at an already scheduled bus stop within the District attendance area. The fee-for-service for each student is based on where he/she lives, not on daycare locations. Fees will be established based on Minnesota Department of Education calculations, for nonpublic students in the ‘excess’ category, for the previous year.

Notice of bus routes and schedules are published by Anoka Hennepin School District each summer before school begins. All students attend state mandated bus safety drills each school year.

Children may ride only their assigned bus. With parental permission a student may get off at another stop other than their own but it must be on their regularly scheduled bus route.

Each fall the school district requires that all students pass bus safety curriculum; even if a student does not ride the bus to school due to the fact that most students will use bus service for field trips or other school based activities.
