The St. Stephen School Library Media Center (LMC) is managed by a licensed media specialist with help from parent volunteers. LMC resources include over 11,000 books, an online library catalog, and online databases, which provide access to full-text newspapers, journals, magazines and non-fiction books.
Students in grades K through 5 attend scheduled Media Classes, where they learn library, research, and information literacy skills. Middle School students may come to the LMC with a pass from their teacher.
Items in the LMC are checked out for two weeks. Kindergarten students may check out one book at a time; all other students may check out two books. Opportunities exist for students to earn the privilege of checking out a third book Students with overdue books are not allowed to check out more books until the overdue books are returned.
