Families with children in 4th or 5th grade (or older) are invited to prepare for and celebrate First Reconciliation. Sacramental preparation is in addition to the regular religious instruction in Faith Formation programs or St. Stephen’s School. Therefore, all participants in sacramental preparation must be registered in Faith Formation programming or at St. Stephen’s School.

First Reconciliation preparation consists of 2 required Parent Meetings and parent/child participation in two parish support events - Learning Centers and a First Reconciliation Retreat. Parents are provided a First Reconciliation book and all details at the Parent Meetings and families use this text as they provide at-home preparation.

First Reconciliation celebrations occur on a Sunday afternoon in November/December at the Church of St. Stephen.
