Parish Garage Sale Taking a Breather in 2013

The Parish Garage Sale typically takes place on a Friday and Saturday in July or August.

For all of you devoted garage sale leaders and volunteers, this is your summer to take a break from the heat.  Due to the school being painted and a need for more leaders to be developed, we have decided to take a year off.

If you have been saving items for the garage sale, we would like to encourage you to consider donating your items to Goodwill, the Salvation Army or Bridging.

Bridging is a twin cities organization that has been helping individuals and families transition out of homelessness and poverty since 1987.  It is the largest furniture bank in North America and has locations in Bloomington and Roseville.  More information regarding donations to Bridging can be found at www.bridging.org.

The Salvation Army has donation drop boxes all over the Anoka area or you can call 1-800-728-7825 to have a truck come to you.  More information regarding donations to the Salvation Army can be found at www.satruck.org.

The Goodwill has locations in Coon Rapids, Champlin and Blaine.  More information regarding the Goodwill can be found at www.goodwilleasterseals.org.

If you are interested in being a leader for the sale in 2014, please call Monica Freeman at 763-712-7438.  We are looking for several leaders to come together to create a strong team and continue this ministry.
