SSYMple Steps VBS

 

Photo of VBS kids and crew leader We have a great program to look forward to every summer at St. Stephen's! Our VBS program will be held July 23-27, 2012.  We begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon each day.  

 

 

This fun program involves 180+ children and over 100 volunteers. Children who have completed one year of preschool and are 4-years-old through children who have completed 5th grade become members of a VBS crew and learn catchy bible songs, play teamwork building games, enjoy tasty treats and experience Bible adventures that remind them of God’s presence in their lives.

Our goal this summer is to reach 200 with God’s love and here’s how you can help!  It will take 40 + volunteer Crew Leaders to serve 200 kids.  Crew Leaders don’t have to prepare anything; they just get to do some really fun stuff like attend VBS each day (You know that will be great!) and participate in fun activities while building relationships with a group of five kids (Who could say no to that!) and arrive 20 minutes early to greet crew members each day.

 

In accordance with the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis’ safe environment policy, each student wishing to volunteer with the Church of St. Stephen must complete the Student Volunteer Character Reference form. The reference must be someone who is not directly related to the student (i.e. a teacher or a coach) and has known the student for more than one year. VBS is a great family summer time activity as it offers volunteer opportunities for older siblings, parents and grandparents too.  If you are currently working on summer plans, add this adventure to your list!!

Early Bird Registration Fee (before May 1):

$25/child; $100 family max

Registration Fee (May 1-July 11):

$35/child; $140 family max

Late Registration Fee (after July 11):

$45/child; $180 family max

Your registration fee includes a t-shirt for each registered child, bible memory buddies, crafts and snacks.
